Eden's Semilla Aromatherapy Oils (AD)
If you cast your mind back to August you might remember a post that I wrote about Eden's Semillia Jojoba Oil, which worked (and still does work) wonders on my skin. Today I have another Eden's Semilla review for you, and this time it's of products that I had never tried, or really even thought of before: aromatherapy oils.
Now, as anyone who knows me will tell you, I can be a big old ball of stress at times, especially when at university and trying to juggle work, freshers flu and a social life (which is no easy feat, I might add!), so I was excited when Eden's Semilla asked whether I wanted to give these products a go.
I had 12 oils to try and I'm going to break these down into 3 sets of 4 for you, so here we go...
As you can see, Set 1 (which I will link here and which is also currently on sale - kerching) contains Tea Tree, Lemongrass, Rosemary and Frankincense oils. The tea tree is my personal favourite from this set and is a scent that, having suffered from acne, I am very familiar with. But I had never tried it as anything other than a skin treatment.
Out of a reed diffuser, though, tea tree smells amazing! Seriously fresh and awakening, my bedroom has NEVER smelt so clean. The lemongrass is an equally fresh and clean scent, but it's not quite as strong. So, if you're not a fan of powerful scents but want that freshness, I would say give this one a go.
Now I know that rosemary is designed for pain relief but, to be honest, I just like the smell. I find this and the frankincense really soothing and pretty perfect for chilling out after a long day.
Set 2 (which again, I will link here) is Tea Tree (again, I know, but I did tell you it was my fave), Lavender, Bergamot and Cinnamon. I'm never usually a fan of lavender scented things, I find them too strong and sort of sickly, but this lavender oil was surprisingly subtle compared to the others and I've actually found it a real help on stressful, sleepless nights. Who'd have thought it?
Just like the frankincense in set 1, bergamot oil is really really soothing and my favourite thing to use at the moment when I just need some chilled-out me time. Similar to rosemary, cinnamon oil is also meant to be great for pain relief, but I haven't tried or needed it for that just yet (thankfully).
I'm still a massive fan of the cinnamon oil, though, as it smells just like home baking and Christmas all rolled into one - perfect now that we have most definitely overpassed Autumn and gone straight into wintery weather!
Set 3 (guess what? I'm going to link it here again!) is built up of Peppermint, Sweet Orange, Eucalyptus and Sandalwood. I love citrus scents and so anything orangey is right up my street. As you can probably guess, sweet orange oil smells so so so good and sweet and wonderful, it's my definite favourite from this set and is now a very nearly empty bottle!
Just like every student, I have returned to university and caught the dreaded fresher's flu (it's real, I'm telling you), so I have been using the eucalyptus oil to clear out my sinuses and it works a treat! If you're interested in trying it I would say that it's very similar to Olbas Oil but, in my opinion, not quite as potent.
I'd never smelt sandalwood before this and, for me, it's a bit more masculine than I would usually like. It is quite comforting, but kind of musky at the same time? I'm undecided. I have completely made my mind up on the peppermint oil, though, which scent-wise is the complete opposite to sandalwood; it's sharp, fresh and wonderful maybe my third favourite out of all 12...
If you do want to get your hands on any of these oils, you are in luck because they are all currently on sale over at Eden's Semilla's Amazon storefront. Personally, I had never tried aromatherapy oils before these were sent to me a few weeks ago, but I think I'm a convert! I can honestly recommend all of these sets, they smell great and the value for money is unbeatable.
